Hi Everyone!

I'm not really sure when my car was built - the body is 1989 - and the colour is late 80's but the original engine in the car was first registered in 1977 - this is why 'technically' it's a 1977 P601 Trabant - for registration purposes! The original DDR registration papers were found under the carpet and has the name and address of the original owner from 1977! All a bit confusing!

It has the original Stern radio fitted but sadly this doesn't work - so I had an mp3 player installed - hidden away - so I can play my favourite songs from Silly, The Puhdys, Karat, Petra Zieger and Regina Thoss! Little did I know that the installers also put in Bluetooth with a hidden microphone - I got a big shock when I was driving along and the phone rang!

Hi Neil,
the MP3 problem is better solved!

In the shaft of the T601 fits the radio RFT Greifenstein. This was made through a license from Blaupunkt. It was also offered for Trabant and Wartburg.
It is a stereo radio with cassette player and digital radio frequency display. Blaupunkt radio with itself, there is better equipment, such as a CD changer. Except for little things but they are identical in appearance. Apply Now a painter again let the RFT logo. Advantage: There are MP3 players that are clamped to the socket for the CD changer. The operation is also identical to the CD changer. With SD card, you can create 99 virtual CD's . Costs in Europe by 50 €.

If your satellite still has 6 volt system, you also need an adapter to 12 volts ..

Hallo Neil,

Hi Flieger Bernd!
My family tree is English and Welsh, as far as I can find out I have no German connection in my family - but I always hoped that I had a former life in Germany! I have an affinity with all things German - especially the food and people!

Here is more information on the Thüringer Rostbratwurst.

...and I do confirm we use beer to extinguish undesired flames in the charcoal barbecue grill.
